The Microbial Community in the Abscess Underneath the Skin of Goats

The abscess underneath the skin is a common disease, which seriously affects quality and yield of goat breeding. main pathogens that cause abscesses are well understood, but microbial community yet remains relatively unexplored. To determine population diversity microorganisms in goats, this work, 5 pus samples randomly collected from different farms (Jiangsu Province, China) were subjected to metagenomics sequencing bioinformatics analysis. test data show communities each sample contain about 79~82 kinds microorganisms. Interestingly, contained similar species, including 53~59 bacteria, 5~6 fungi, 3 viruses, 16~18 parasites. top dominant bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Lactococcus garvieae, Helicobacter pylori, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Klebsiella with an average abundance value 29.88 %, 8.2%, 6.16%, 3.5%, 3.26%, respectively. remaining abundances ranged 0.01% 3%. Although these frequent tiny part total community, they constitute major portion individual reads (~1/2). In conclusion, aureus most nonunique bacterium responsible for goat, subcutaneous highly diverse. Bacterial coinfection should play important role.
